The short version

What "laboratory research use only" means
"Laboratory research use only" means the product is intended to be handled in a controlled laboratory environment by qualified personnel, used as a reference standard or experimental input, and consumed only in the course of bench work such as assay development, in vitro studies, instrument calibration, comparator runs, and analytical method validation. The product is not intended for use in or on a living human or animal, is not intended for use in any product applied to the human body, and is not intended for any clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, prophylactic, dietary, cosmetic, or food application.
Prohibited uses
You agree that you will not use any product purchased from Apothify for any of the following:
- Administration to a human or an animal by any route
- Compounding or formulation of a drug, supplement, food product, or cosmetic intended for human or animal use
- Use as an active ingredient or excipient in any product placed on or in the body
- Resale or transfer to any party who intends to use it for any of the prohibited uses above
- Use in any application that would require approval, clearance, registration, or licensure from any federal, state, foreign, or local regulatory authority that the product does not hold
If any of these uses are contemplated, do not purchase the product. The terms of sale do not authorize them.
No medical, clinical, or therapeutic claims
Apothify makes no representation that any product is safe or effective for use in humans or animals. Apothify does not provide medical advice. Nothing on apothify.com is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, condition, or symptom. Educational content on the site describes research framing and published literature only. It is not a recommendation, prescription, or protocol of any kind, and it is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional. If you have a health concern, consult a licensed clinician in your jurisdiction.
Regulatory status
Apothify products are not approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration or by any equivalent regulatory authority in any other jurisdiction for any human or veterinary use. They are not approved as drugs. They are not approved as biologics. They are not approved as supplements. They are not approved as medical devices. They are not approved as foods. They have not been evaluated for safety or effectiveness in any clinical setting. Some compounds offered as encyclopedia entries on the site are referenced in the scientific literature as prescription medicines in regulated markets. Quality and certificate of analysis
Apothify publishes a certificate of analysis (COA) for products that carry one. The COA reports purity, identity, and related analytical details as supplied by the manufacturer or analytical lab. The COA is intended as documentation for research record keeping. It is not a representation of fitness for any clinical, therapeutic, or consumer use. Reasonable analytical variance between lots is expected. If a COA is missing, inconsistent, or unreadable, contact support@apothify.com before using the product.
Purchaser eligibility
You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase from Apothify. By placing an order you confirm that you are 21 or older, that you are acquiring the product for laboratory research use only as defined above, and that you have the authority to bind your organization (if you are purchasing on behalf of an organization) to the terms of this disclaimer and to the Terms of Service. Apothify may decline or cancel any order at its discretion.
Storage, handling, and disposal
You are responsible for safe storage, handling, and disposal of every product you purchase. Reference compounds should be handled in accordance with your laboratory's standard operating procedures, applicable occupational safety guidance such as the OSHA Laboratory Standard (29 CFR 1910.1450), and any institutional biosafety, chemical hygiene, and waste disposal requirements that apply to your setting. Apothify does not provide individualized handling or disposal instructions. If a safety data sheet (SDS) is required for your work, request it before use.
Compliance with applicable law
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your purchase, possession, transport, use, and disposal of any product comply with all federal, state, foreign, local, and institutional laws and policies that apply to you. This includes, where applicable, the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the Controlled Substances Act, state pharmacy and compounding statutes, customs and import requirements in your jurisdiction, and any institutional review board, institutional biosafety committee, or institutional animal care and use committee requirements at your organization. Compliance with these requirements is your responsibility and not the responsibility of Apothify.
No biological, clinical, or human use representations
Apothify makes no warranty that any product will perform in any specific assay, model, cell line, organism, or experimental context. Apothify makes no warranty that any product is biologically active, sterile, endotoxin free, GMP grade, USP grade, or pharmaceutical grade unless the product page expressly states otherwise. All implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by law. Limitations on liability are set out in the Terms of Service.
Recordkeeping
Apothify records your acceptance of the research use acknowledgment when you enter the site and at checkout, including the version of this disclaimer, the timestamp, the IP address, and the user agent of your session. Those records are stored with your order record for compliance and dispute purposes and are referenced in our Privacy Policy.
Educational content on the site
Peptide pages, category pages, learning guides, comparison pages, and the peptide finder are educational reference material. They describe how researchers have framed and studied a given compound. They are not protocols. They do not recommend a use, a dose, a route of administration, or a combination. They do not establish a doctor patient or research subject relationship. They are not a substitute for primary literature, manufacturer documentation, or the advice of a qualified professional in your field.
Updates to this disclaimer
Apothify may update this disclaimer from time to time. The version stamp at the top of this page reflects the current version. When a material change is made, the version is incremented and the change is recorded so that the version you accepted at checkout matches the version stored with your order. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
