Our commitment
Apothify is committed to making apothify.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology. We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across all public pages of the Site. We treat accessibility as a quality bar that applies to new work as well as existing work, and we welcome reports of any page that falls short of that bar.
Standards we follow
We design and build to:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA for color contrast, keyboard operability, focus visibility, alternative text, semantic structure, and accessible names
- WAI ARIA Authoring Practices for interactive components such as the mobile drawer, the entry acknowledgment dialog, the peptide finder, and the cart
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for any future federal contracting work, by maintaining our public site to a Section 508 equivalent baseline
What we do
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone
- Focus is visible at all times when navigating by keyboard
- Images that convey meaning have alternative text. Decorative images are marked as such so screen readers skip them
- Form fields have associated labels and validation messages are exposed to assistive technology
- Color is not the only signal for any piece of information. Status badges include text. Errors are stated, not just colored red
- Color contrast meets the WCAG AA threshold (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and non text contrast)
- Headings are nested in document order so screen reader users can navigate the page structure
- The mobile drawer, the entry dialog, and the peptide finder follow the WAI ARIA dialog and grouping patterns and trap focus while open
- Page titles are unique, descriptive, and reflect the content of the page
- A "Skip to content" link is the first focusable element on every page
- We test new work with keyboard navigation, with a screen reader (VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows), and with axe and Lighthouse accessibility checks
Known limitations
We are honest about where the Site is not yet perfect:
- Some third party embeds (for example a future YouTube video) may not meet WCAG AA in their default form. Where this is the case we will offer an alternative such as a transcript or a downloadable file
- Some PDF certificates of analysis are supplier provided and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need an accessible version of a specific COA, contact us and we will provide one
- The admin area at /admin/ is an operator tool and is not held to public WCAG AA standards
Reporting a problem and getting an alternative
If any page on the Site is hard to use with assistive technology, or if you need information in an alternative format, email support@apothify.com with:
- The page URL where the problem is
- A short description of the problem and the assistive technology you are using (operating system, browser, screen reader, voice control, or other tool)
- The information or task you were trying to complete
We respond within two business days. If we can resolve the issue immediately we will. If it requires a longer fix we will tell you what we are doing and offer an alternative way to get the information you need in the meantime.
Ongoing review
We review the accessibility of the Site every quarter, and every time we ship a substantial new page or feature. Reports from users are the most valuable input we receive.

This statement was last updated on the date shown at the top of the page. We will update it whenever our practices or our known limitations change in a material way.
